Pyrate's Cove is a large Box Playset featured in the Pyrates franchise. It is a tropical hideout located in the south, south of Coffer Trap and west of the Isle of No Return.
History[]
When Lockjaw was captured by the Sea Marauders and interrogated about the location of the Lord Pyrate's Treasure, he mislead them to Pyrate's Cove to delay their effort. Upon arriving, they spent much time searching every obscure section of the island before they exhausted their options.
Amidst realizing that they had been deceived, they were ambushed by the Privateers, leading to a huge battle. In the end, the Privateer's were forced to retreat and the Sea Marauders made haste for Skull Haven as their next stop.
2006 Box Playset (3674)[]
Pyrate's Cove was released as a large Box Playset to go with the Skull Playsets, alongside Smuggler's Fort. Like the Ship Playsets, these are assembled into a single structure and have many more accessories than other Pyrates playsets.
The hideout is settled in the middle of several cliffs and rest above a bay, allowing access by ships and boats. A wooden walkway on the right side of the hideout allows for docking, leading to a perilous pathway along the cliff-side. The right clifftop has a signal fire alongside a palm tree and a ladder leading back down. On the cliff is a wooden platform with a ladder and a rope bridge, connecting the two halves of the hideout to each other.
The left half of the hideout is mainly a wooden shack held above the water by columns and bearing a pirate flag on top. Below are a few small patches of sand with palm trees, the mass directly in front of the shack featuring a harpoon cannon. There is also a Skeleton Crew longboat and an orange octopus sitting in the water. A treasure chest with several piles of coins and gems comes with the set.
