Shark Escape is a set released in the second wave of the Pyrates toyline. It can be seen south-west of Coffer Trap on the Maps, and is occupied by the Sea Marauders.
The most recognizable feature of the set is the included rubber shark of monstrous proportion. The pectoral fins come separated, and need to be socketed in to the main body. The shark's dorsal fin can be squeezed down to clamp its jaw, with is large enough to fit a figure inside. Additionally, there is a gash on its left side to stick a harpoon in.
Raft split[]
The raft is comprised of two large halves, secured together on its port side with a large plank piece. With this piece removed, the halves can be separated. It's possible to remove the plank using the shark's mouth, which may be the intended play feature.
Spring-loaded cannon[]
The set includes a cannon that can launch a projectile when its button is pressed. The cannon can be rotated horizontally and pitched vertically. The projectile included is a harpoon, that gets attached to a spool with some included string.
Trap door[]
In the middle of the raft is a trap door, which reveals a metal cage for storage. There are silver and gold studs, doubloons, and a gold cutlass included to fill it.
